Experiential anatomy program

Silence of Flow ~ A week of an experiential study of breathing

Anatomy of the breath and its structures, pathways, forms, functions, relations, and connections.

Breath as: Fundamental – Transporter – Generator – Elemental – Symbiotic – Catalyst – Silence – Flow

We will devote two hours each day, during seven (or fourteen) consecutive days immersing ourselves into the mysteries and realities of our breath and the breathing process.

Through the lens and tools of experiential anatomy, movement and art we will dedicate each day to exploring and experiencing a different structure of the body, learning about our breathing system and connections.

Breath is potential, practice, magic and beauty: it’s been with us always. We are its custodians and recipients. Breath stories are written with invisible ink, we can learn to decode and read their messages. When we connect to the presence of the breath, we open to the now.

What does breath mean to you?
Would you like to learn and truly connect to it?

We will look at: Structures of the nose and mouth cavities, sinus, nasal concha, pathways of the breath, larynx, pharynx, the bronchial tree, organs, internal and external breathing, the diaphragms of the body, overall connections and much more.

We will use: Art supplies, scissors, glue, paper, color, magazines, anatomy printouts.

We will practice: Yoga and movement to enhance our understanding and process of embodiment.

I will guide you with timeless use of focus and patience, holding the space open so that each person can work with the material as their own and at their own pace. By the end of the week, each participant will have created a book to take home and use for further practice. This book will have the practices and the anatomy from each day’s lectures.

Together, we will learn different practices to connect to our breath and its poetry. There are many ways to know why breath is so fundamental and important.

How: Two One Week Workshops that can be taken individually or together as one continuous process.

Important note about La Kambrousse:
La Kambrousse is a special place where people come to be in yoga and live like you would in an ashram: it is not your typical “holiday resort” where you would go to to “disconnect, kick back, and relax”. But rather a place where everyone takes part in daily activities (like gardening, cleaning, feeding the animals…) which are all part of the experience we want to share with you. It is a place for grounding, centering, and living in harmony with nature, surrounded by animals, including alpacas, donkeys, sheep, and chickens.

The forest of Secondigny is just a stone throw away.
