What is Yoga Lab?

Yoga Lab is a series of workshops on specific themes, held on Saturdays throughout the year.

Yoga is an infinitely versatile subject. It can adapt itself to any situation and is capable of bringing life, positivity and relief from pain.

Yoga Lab is an effort to cultivate a study culture in yoga, that helps us understand the requirements of our own body-mind and how we can adapt the asana to make it sthira and sukha, stable and comfortable. When we do an asana, we must feel like staying.

Yoga teaches us to adapt to life situations yet be anchored in the Self. And so we adapt our practice too, to life situations, to encourage and develop a sense of how to help oneself to bring a flow into one’s life. Isvara pranidhana.

We will explore together in the Yoga Lab series on how to deal with difficult backs, knees, hips, headaches, menstruation (including pre and post menstrual syndrome), menopause, respiratory issues, cold, jet-lag, chronic fatigue, fatigue from parenthood, worry, heavy state of mind, emotional instability, hormonal imbalances, etc. In other words, how to deal with all that it means to be human.

Yoga Lab workshops will be held on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

  • September 20th: Hips part 2* (*open to all, even if you’ve missed part 1)
  • November 29th: Age & Bone Health
  • January 10th: The Immune System
  • June 13th: The Importance of Twists
