- General class: this class and the 12-week beginner series are both perfect for beginners. The General class is an all-levels class to encourage a holistic approach to practice. The focus is to renew, balance, nourish, maintain the mind and body and to experience peace in our everyday life. To make ourselves familiar with having yoga practice as part of our daily life, like bathing and cleaning our teeth. We allow the body time to experience and the brain to understand without pressure in learning. The practice passes through the embodiment and not just the intellect. This brings maturity in understanding. The focus is to not get anywhere, but to be here. The idea of a home practice is introduced.
- Early Birds: general class held in the early morning
- Dynamic & young adults beginners series: a very active and physically challenging class designed for those who are under 40. Ideal for discovering and working on basic postures in an energetic way.
- 40+ beginners series: a class emphasising poses that increase mobility of the joints and bone health, when possible in a dynamic way. Ideal for discovering and working on basic postures.
- 40+ general class: a general class for all levels, emphasizing postures that improve joint mobility, bone health, muscle toning, and balance.
- Kids class: a very dynamic and fun class designed for little ones. We will jump, move, and play as we learn about the growing body. We will also explore the power of concentration and focus. This class also helps to cultivate self-confidence.
- Intermediate I: In this class we refine what we have already learnt. Asanas are like melodies. So while we sing these melodies we work our way out of the false notes to find the right tone. We start learning the names of the poses in Sanskrit. Requirement: minimum of 3 months of general classes (once a week) or a 12 week beginner series.
- Intermediate II: a personal practice (at home) is expected. By permission only. Minimum of 2 years of consistent practice, need to know how to set-up for Salamba Sarvangasana or an adequate substitute.
